WE International Philippines’ staff and partners are working together to provide support and assistance to disaster relief missions.  WE are accepting monetary and in-kind donations on a rolling basis to help those affected by the floods.

 On March 14, WE international Philippines Director of Public Relations, Alex Compton, used the occasion of his birthday as a fundraiser to help create awareness of the needs of those living in Smokey Mountain.

 
For his birthday party, Alex brought a group of concerned friends to the garbage dump area and student center. The turnout, and subsequent response to the existing need in Smokey Mountain has been an encouragement to the efforts of the organization to create educational and economic opportunities for youth living in the community.
