Smokey Mountain Dumpsite

WE International Philippines works with some the very poorest communities in Metro Manila. Everyday hundreds of impoverished Filipino adults and children scavenge through the Smokey Mountain garbage dump in, Tondo - the largest dumpsite in Metro Manila - in an effort to collect and sell recyclables in order to meet their daily needs. The pictures above were taken in Smokey Mountain and reflect the conditions of those living there.
